Each year, FanSided releases a ranking of the top 250 fandoms from sports to entertainment. Unfortunately, no player or fanbase from the Rockets made the list.

The Houston Rockets are a team with many loyal fans. For them to be excluded from the Fandom 250 list is a shame.

There are many different branches of fans that deal with the Rockets and today we will talk about 3 of them that could have/should have made the list.

For the full list, be sure to click here. It is a fantastic list that FanSided certainly worked hard on to make.

Let’s start with the team as a whole:

The Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets are a team that has followers all throughout the world. The city of Houston embraces them each and every year and there is always quite a bit of H-Town pride. Thanks to the influence of Hall of Famer Yao Ming, the Rockets are also very marketable to the rest of the world, especially China.

All in all, including the Houston Rockets into the Fandom 250 would have been a great move to show how wide-reaching the fanbase truly is.

The Red Rowdies

The Red Rowdies are some of the best fans in the league. They show up each and every night and cheer loud for the Rockets. The Rowdies chant around Toyota Center before and after games, bringing the excitement level in the building way up. They even travel to away games occasionally to cause a racket there.

Showing the world who the Red Rowdies are would have made a great inclusion to the Fandom 250. Maybe next year, Red Nation.

James Harden fans

James Harden is one player who’s fanbase definitely should have been represented in the Fandom 250. He has over 5 million followers on Twitter and has plenty of supporters that include Rockets and non-Rockets fans alike.

James Harden also has…well…the awesome beard. The beard is a sports icon that deserves to be included in the list.

There are plenty of other players that were included in the list, including the rookie sensation of the Yankees, Aaron Judge. If Judge can get on the list, one of the best players in the league certainly can. Other players that were on the list include Steph Curry, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and even Houston legend J.J. Watt. It certainly would have been great for Harden to be represented fairly.

Above all, the Rockets are a great organization that deserved to be included in the list. Unlike some of the other fandoms listed, the Rockets have a better argument for addition.

Congrats to @OhioStAthletics fans, who have been named the best in the world. #Fandom250 #GoBucks
