Unfortunately, the Rockets will be without their star point guard for the decisive Game 7.

The Rockets will need a little extra help tonight as they try to knock off the Warriors. Chris Paul is unable to play as he cannot create much explosion with the hamstring injury.

This blow hurts quite a bit for the Rockets as they have a chance to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1995.

CP3 was trying his hardest all day to try to prepare for this moment, but in the end, it just couldn’t be done. The Rockets will have to try to do it without him.

Bench players will need to step up and hit their shots. We will need a repeat of the first half of Game 6 if the Rockets are to pull off the impossible.

Gerald Green – offense

Gerald Green is one player in particular who can fill the offense lost by Chris Paul. He can light it up on any given night and will need to do just that tonight.

Eric Gordon will also need to play a complete game for the squad tonight. His 3s need to be hitting and he must limit the turnovers.

Luc Mbah a Moute – defense

The defense of Chris Paul will also be sorely missed tonight. Luc Mbah a Moute will need to come ready to play and defend at a high-level tonight.

Luc was very valuable in the regular season but hasn’t quite looked the same since returning from his shoulder dislocation injury. We need one big night out of him as the Rockets look to make the Finals. Can we get that from him?

Chris Paul is still ready and excited for this game, though:

Let’s win this one for CP3, Rockets. The Cavaliers are waiting on the other side, let’s meet them there and win a championship. Can we get an otherworldly game from James Harden?
