The Houston Rockets have officially taken control of this series after winning Game 3 in Utah and taking a 3-0 lead on the Jazz. Will they be able to finish off the sweep tonight, or will the series keep on going?

The Houston Rockets have looked like a complete team in this series against the Utah Jazz. They are up 3-0 and have won two of their three games in blowout fashion. They are outclassing Utah in every way and look focused and ready to run it back against the Warriors next week.

Last game out, the Rockets had to fight for the victory. James Harden was way off, and I mean way off, in the first three quarters and the Jazz held a lead for most of the game. The team as a whole still stepped up, though, and propelled the Rockets past them anyways. Harden was huge in the fourth quarter, but he couldn’t have gotten there without the help of his teammates.

I’m not sure that last game is something that could have happened to a past iteration of the Rockets. There’s something special about how this team is built and they will look to sweep a very good Jazz squad tonight. Utah and Houston have been the best two teams since the All-Star Break, and it hasn’t looked that way in this series.

It won’t be easy

Finishing off a sweep is never an easy thing to do, though. The Jazz will come out playing with pride and trying to be the first team ever to come back from a 3-0 deficit. Utah will be in their home building, which we learned last game can be a pretty hostile environment.

James Harden will surely hear more taunts and jeers, so let’s hope he’s back on his game today. The role players for Utah likely will hit more of their shots, something that they haven’t done at all in this series. It won’t be easy, the Rockets must come out focused once again and ready to compete.

3 takeaways from Game 3 win. Next

Be sure to tune in tonight as Houston goes for the sweep!
