8. Bismack Biyombo

Bismack Biyombo is an interesting name on the list, as his Charlotte Hornets could quite possibly already be engaging in buyout talks, considering how Charlotte isn’t playing for anything and his contract is set to expire at the conclusion of the 2019-20 season.

Biyombo is averaging 14.2 points and 11 rebounds per 36 minutes, and could very well be an instant plug-and-play for the Houston Rockets similar to Kenneth Faried during the 2018-19 season. The 27-year-old center is an elite rebounder, which was on display during his last postseason appearance with the Toronto Raptors in the 2015-16 season, particularly during the Eastern Conference Finals.

During that series between the Raptors and the Cavaliers, the 6-foot-8 big man was the leading rebounder of the entire series, as he averaged 10.3 rebounds per game, which landed him a massive contract with the Orlando Magic. After two years in Orlando, Biyombo was traded to the Hornets as part of a three-team trade.

This year, Biyombo is having a career year from a player efficiency standpoint, as his PER is a career-best 16.3. Biyombo is also a stellar offensive rebounder, boasting a rebound percentage of 12.8 percent, which is eighth-best in the league and only one spot behind Houston Rockets center Clint Capela.

The Hornets are averaging 116 points per 100 possessions with Biyombo on the floor, which gives him the second-highest offensive rating on the Hornets. During the 2018-19 season, Biyombo also had the highest defensive rating on the Hornets as well.
