4. Courtney Lee
Courtney Lee is a name that Rockets Nation should be familiar with, as he spent two seasons as a member of the Houston Rockets. Lee was a part of the Kevin McHale regime, and the 34-year-old has found himself at the end of the Dallas Mavericks bench this season.
Lee would provide the Houston Rockets with 3-point shooting, as he’s a career 38.8 percent shooter from deep and would be a perfect fit for the small ball lineup. The 6-foot-5 sharpshooter has been a journeyman, as he’s already played for eight teams in his twelve-year career.
Lee is in the final year of his contract and has only played 9.7 minutes per game, in spite of his 16.3 points per 36 minutes. Although it’s a small sample size, Lee has posted a gaudy true shooting percentage of 75 percent and has shot 56.5 percent from downtown this season.
Lee shot 40.4 percent from long-range during his Houston Rockets tenure, which spanned for two seasons. Lee would certainly be a natural fit in Mike D’Antoni’s offense which places a heavy emphasis on the 3-point shot, as evident by the Rockets’ 43.9 treys per game.
Lee is a career 9.6 point scorer and would get many open looks from downtown with Russell Westbrook and James Harden playing alongside him.
