Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey recently joined ESPN’s Zach Lowe to discuss the Harden-Giannis beef, his personal beef with Charles Barkley, and more.
Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey recently joined ESPN’s Zach Lowe on the Lowe Post to discuss a plethora of topics. The podcast was held at the annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, which was a two-day event that took place between March 6th and March 7th.
We previously discussed half of Morey’s comments, which included the origins of small ball, the CP3 trade, the Clint Capela trade, and Morey’s feud with SiriusXM Radio’s Justin Termine. But there were alot more topics that were discussed that also needed to be included.
We don’t often see Morey on ESPN, so it was surprising that he agreed to do a 30-minute sitdown with Lowe. One of the most surprising takeaways was the fact that Morey was very transparent with Lowe, as he even stated that the Rockets felt they wouldn’t win a title with Chris Paul and James Harden.
Morey also offered a glimpse into the relationship he has with Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni, as he stated MDA is the reason the Rockets were even able to make the trade for Robert Covington. As there were more topics that were discussed, let’s get to the latter half of the interview.
