Feud with Charles Barkley
One of the things that makes TNT’s Inside the NBA so successful is the presence of Charles Barkley, who has a tendency to say whatever comes to mind, regardless of who it’s about. The show has a unique mix of personalities, as Shaquille O’Neal and Barkley often argue to get their points across and former Houston Rockets guard Kenny Smith tends to be the voice of reason.
Barkley has shown himself to not be afraid to call out people and/or make comments about people, which often leads to feuds. In fact, Barkley is currently feuding with Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, and he’s constantly making comments about Morey
Barkley said Morey was throwing in the towel when he traded Clint Capela for Robert Covington, and has made comments about Morey’s China fiasco. Morey took the high road when speaking about the feud with Barkley.
To be fair to him, when he said he wouldn’t know me walking in, that’s fair. I know him because he’s one of the greatest players ever and one of the best players and entertainers ever.
I don’t think he worries too much about the Rockets or me, nor should he. It’s not a huge deal. He’s one of the all-time great evening hosts, and he does way better than I could do any of that.
Morey had a rather classy response about Barkley, as he acknowledged him as one of the best players and entertainers ever. There was alot more he could have said, considering all the negative things Barkley has said about the Rockets, but he took the high road, which is commendable.
