The Houston Rockets look to carry momentum from their victorious overtime thriller against Dallas when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

If Friday’s game taught us anything, it’s that you can never count out the Houston Rockets. James Harden and company looked all but done when they went down by seven with less than 50 seconds remaining in the game, yet somehow scraped their way to a victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

As expected, the Texas showdown wasn’t exactly a defensive struggle, as the Rockets gave up a whopping 85 points in the first half, setting a franchise record one would preferably not set. Still, by the end of the night, the Rockets ended up with a 153-149 victory thanks to a Herculean 49-point effort from James Harden.

Now, the Rockets set their sights on someone who’s become a bit of an adversary of Harden’s: Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak is almost a lock for the NBA’s MVP award this season, which we argue shouldn’t be so cut and dry.

Still, Giannis has the Milwaukee Bucks boasting the NBA’s best record of 54-12 for a reason. Milwaukee is first in the league in defensive rating, which should make Sunday’s matchup substantially different from the All-Star-Game vibe of Houston’s last game.

Way back in October, the Rockets lost their opening game of the season to the Bucks by a score of 117-111, with Giannis notching a triple-double of 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists. Sunday’s rematch will be a massive test for Houston’s micro ball, as they’ll have to deal with Giannis inside, as well as the Lopez brothers.
