The Houston Rockets Starters

A -. On a night where Harden didn’t shoot lights out, going  3-for-12 from 3-point range and posting a 35.7 percent field goal percentage, his grade primarily stems from his defense. We have seen it in previous games where when Harden goes cold, his defense gets lazy and he seems uninterested in the game. That was not the story Sunday night when he was able to neutralize the reigning League MVP with his clamping defense, especially in the clutch, snagging six steals.. Guard. Houston Rockets. JAMES HARDEN

B. Russel Westbrook improved his field goal percentage from his last game against the Mavericks, which was important, but still seems to be rushing some of his shots. Dropping 32 points on a tough defensive team was crucial to the Rockets’ victory. Westbrook scored critical buckets in the closing minutes to help keep Houston’s comeback chances alive, but also committed five turnovers, preventing his grade from going higher than a B.. Guard. Houston Rockets. RUSSELL WESTBROOK

B +. Robert Covington continues to be a steady defensive presence on the court for Houston, recording three steals and a block. While his shooting has not been prolific, it improved from 1-of-9 from three to 3-of-9. Not a drastic difference, but a better one that shows his will to knock down big shots. Scoring fifteen points and seven rebounds was a solid performance that can only improve. Not hurting the team with zero turnovers is important as well.. Forward. Houston Rockets. ROBERT COVINGTON

C+. P.J Tucker was spotted at halftime working on his 3-point shot, using that to drain his first two attempts of the second half. Still, he only cashed in on 3-of-12 of those 3-pointers, many of which were uncontested. Losing the battle against Brook Lopez in the post due to the height difference was a negative, but Tucker’s hustling on defense overall and grabbing rebounds was a positive.. Forward. Houston Rockets. P.J. TUCKER

Danuel House had a solid outing against Milwaukee, going 50 percent from the field and 50 percent from long distance. Scoring sixteen points and grabbing four rebounds in the absence of Eric Gordon could be considered an upgrade due to Gordon’s inconsistent shooting. House grabbing a steal and only committing a single turnover contributes to him earning the B + grade.. Small Forward. Houston Rockets. DANUEL HOUSE. B +
