The Houston Rockets Bench

After a career game against the Sacramento Kings, Austin Rivers followed it up with a relatively below average game. Getting about 29 minutes with Westbrook receiving limited time, Rivers scored 13 points, six rebounds and one assist. Rivers earns a C grade, after an average shooting night from the field, and going 1-4 from three and turning it over twice.. Guard. Houston Rockets. AUSTIN RIVERS. C

Many Rockets fans were wondering why it has taken so long for a DeMarre Carroll sighting. Well we finally got it for about 21 minutes. It was evident he was hungry for the court after checking in, getting a steal right away, and hustling on defense. Putting up six points, one rebound and three assists is not awful for a player that has not played in many real games with this team and the limited time he was given. Providing the team with two steals and a block in his outing earns Carroll a C+ grade.. Forward. Houston Rockets. DEMARRE CARROLL. C+

CHRIS CLEMONS. B. Chris Clemons was given about 15 minutes and scored 13 points, three rebounds and one assist. Clemons was also able to snag two steals and shoot 3-7 from 3-point range, which might earn him more minutes off the bench soon. A solid all-around performance with no turnovers gives Clemons a B grade when you factor in the time he received.. Guard. Houston Rockets

MICHAEL FRAZIER. C -. Michael Frazier continues to get his feet set into the Rockets’ game speed, but still has some work to do. Scoring six points and four rebounds in about 19 minutes, Frazier shot 20 percent from the field and went 1-4 from three. Not a terrible outing for a player not too familiar with real-game experience with Houston, but Frazier did not provide much of a defensive presence and turned the ball over twice.. Guard. The Houston Rockets came out with a thin lineup against the San Antonio Spurs with a key emphasis on “rest” for the team. The result came in an ugly loss, but some silver linings rose from players that could be a key to victory come playoff time.
