From lottery pick to heart surgery, Jeff Green is the Rockets’ X-Factor

Why Green is the X-factor for the Rockets
Green has been a revelation since coming to Houston. In the Rockets’ matchup with the Thunder, Green will be asked to do even more with Russell Westbrook out through at least the first two games. Green has been great from beyond the arc, rolling to the basket and scoring inside, and the Rockets will certainly be relying on his production.
When the Rockets take on the Thunder, Green’s arsenal will be on full display, as he is the Rockets’ best roll man and one of their best shooters from 3-point range. His ability to take Steven Adams off the dribble and spread the court will be huge in this series.
P.J. Tucker, of course, is the Rockets’ starting center but has struggled with his shot of late, in contrast to Green. In the Rockets’ earlier matchups against the Thunder, they specifically struggled down the stretch, but that was before small ball and without Green on the roster.
