Trading away Danuel House this offseason may be a must for the Houston Rockets considering his NBA bubble scandal. Despite that, House shot well from the perimeter at 36.3 percent, but why wouldn’t the Rockets throw him in the Eric Gordon package and get the second-best 3-point shooter in NBA history?

Seth Curry would thrive with All-Stars James Harden and Russell Westbrook dishing it out to him. Curry being in his thirties could lower his trade value, and the Mavericks could be tempted with the youth of Danuel House.

Also, taking Dwight Powell would be a move to benefit the cap situation in the trade to make up for Gordon’s contract, but he can provide inside defense and can step in so P.J Tucker could rest at center. This trade may also require a future pick to be sent the Mavericks’ way to seal the deal.

These trades seem the most realistic given Eric Gordon’s contract and can benefit the Houston Rockets going into next season. Make a pivotal trade like these and some key free agency signings, and the roster could return to the top of the Western Conference.
