As the James Harden era comes to a close with the Houston Rockets, Rockets fans are forced to reflect on all of the memories; the good, the bad and the ugly.

James Harden has never been known to speak his mind in public. But after the Houston Rockets’ 117-100 loss to the Lakers on Tuesday night, he encapsulated the state of his relationship with the organization in a single sentence. “It’s something that I don’t think can be fixed.”

In that moment, after months of cryptic Instagram posts, Harden finally slammed the door on any future with the Houston Rockets. On Wednesday afternoon, Harden finally got his wish as he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in a four team trade for Victor Oladipo, four first-round picks and four first-round pick swaps.

Now the franchise, along with its fans, are left to reflect on the James Harden era, the hope he gave to the city of Houston, and grapple with the uncertainty that comes with moving on from an iconic superstar.
