Houston Rockets trade proposal #2
In this trade proposal the Houston Rockets would receive a 3-point specialist in Duncan Robinson, who made 44.6 percent of his threes in 2019-20. Robinson finished the season with 270 threes, which was third in the league, and averaged 13.5 points per game in his first season in Miami’s starting rotation.
Robinson led Miami in shooting efficiency, as he posted true shooting splits of 68.4 percent, which ranked third in the league. Robinson continued his stellar play in the postseason also, as he made 39.7 percent of his threes in the playoffs, which was first among all Heat starters.
Robinson led the Heat in threes made in all but one of their postseason series’ during their championship run, while averaging 11.7 points per contest. Robinson received votes for the Most Improved Player award and has played even better in 2020-21, as he currently ranks fifth in threes made (50) and has made 45.9 percent of this triples, which ranks 19th in the league.
Robinson has averaged 14.8 points per game this season, and his stellar shooting would certainly continue alongside a pure point guard in John Wall, which he has yet to play alongside. The 6-7 26-year-old sharpshooter is under contract through 2021-22, which would compel the Heat to include him in such a deal for Oladipo.
The Rockets would also land a first-round pick in this deal and another young prospect in Kendrick Nunn, which would be appealing for general manager Rafael Stone.
