Philadelphia 76ers: Eric Gordon

That's right.

Why not reunite with Gordon? He was a beloved member of some of the best Rockets teams in history. No, Gordon isn't the player he was in 2017. He's still reasonably productive.

Last year, Gordon averaged 11.0 points per game while shooting 37.8% on 5.8 three-point attempts per game. Gordon remains a high-volume three-point shooter, even if his defense and self-creation have lost some of their lustre.

Besides, there's a real advantage in adding a veteran with corporate knowledge. Gordon would be a useful player in the locker room, and he's already played with some key Rockets. If the Sixers make him available, it would make sense to bring him back.

Miami Heat: Alec Burks

We'd be lying if we said we gave Jimmy Butler some thought. We don't mean to disrespect Butler. He's a sensational player. He's also aging, and too mid-range reliant to fit with this roster.

By contrast, Burks mostly looks to shoot threes. He'd be a compliment to the rest of this roster. Meanwhile, Burks isn't strictly a three-point specialist, either.

He's a jack-of-all-trades. Burks is a reasonably strong defender and a plus passer. He's a player who should thrive on any team looking to win games.

As of now, that includes the Heat. Time will tell if they're willing to part with useful veterans this year. If they are, the Rockets should take a look at Burks.
