1 Rockets trade target on every team in the Eastern Conference
Chicago Bulls: Jalen Smith
It's hard to know what the Bulls will do. Fans have been calling for this team to rebuild for years. Did they start rebuilding by sending Alex Caruso to the Thunder for Josh Giddey?
We don't know. In either case, Smith may not be available. At 24, he's young enough to be part of their future even if they're using a longer lens.
At the same time, they could prefer some draft capital. If so, the Rockets could consider parting with it for Smith. If you hadn't noticed, we think the Rockets should be looking at combo big men who space the floor and offer some defensive value. That's an apt description of Smith.
Atlanta Hawks: Bogdan Bogdanovic
We also like shooters. Combo bigs, shooters, and occasionally star players - that's this article in a nutshell.
Bogdanovic is a shooter. Last year, he connected on 37.4% of his astonishing 8.1 three-point attempts per game. At the same time, Bogdanovic can create shots for himself and his teammates.
Like the Bulls, it's a bit hard to determine what the Hawks will do. It's been an eventful summer for this organization. The Hawks drafted Zaccharie Risacher with the No. 1 pick in the draft and sent Dejounte Murray to the Pelicans. Are the Hawks rebuilding, or just retooling?
That's the question. If the Hawks end up moving Trae Young this summer, they could host a firesale. If so, the Rockets ought to take an interest in Bogdanovic.
