Sacramento Kings: Kevin Huerter

The Kings were not expected to retain Malik Monk this summer. With Huerter - and others - on the books, it seemed like they'd let him walk.

Well, the Kings retained Monk. Now what? Unless they're firmly in the playoff picture at the deadline, the Kings feel likely to try to cut some costs.

Why not send Huerter to the Kings in exchange for some of their team-friendly contracts? Huerter shot a modest 36.1% from deep last season, but he's developed a reputation as a lethal floor spacer throughout his career. At 6'7", he also offers exceptional positional size in the backcourt.

Golden State Warriors: Buddy Hield

The Warriors may be a sinking ship. Some Rockets fans will bristle at the suggestion that the Rockets would help bail them out.

Let's put pride aside. The Rockets badly need shooting. Hield is one of the best shooters in the NBA. If the Warriors are sellers, he'd be a sensible target for the Rockets.

Sure, we could have named Steph Curry. We opted to avoid the death threats. Besides, if the Rockets are trading for a star, we'd suggest it should be someone younger than Curry.

It's got nothing to do with the nightmare fuel that is Curry photoshopped into a Rockets jersey.
