1 Trade the Houston Rockets could make with every other lottery team
#4: Rockets trade third pick and Jae'Sean Tate for fifth pick and Isaiah Stewart with Pistons
This deal is much like the last one. The Rockets are flipping the third pick for a lower lottery pick and a long-term backup big man.
Yet, Stewart is not particularly similar to Richards. At 6'8", Stewart is an undersized big man. Still, his ability to defend the perimeter is intriguing - coupled with his ability to shoot, it makes Stewart a prototypical modern big man.
That same skillset should help him play alongside Sengun. Stewart isn't just a long-term replacement for Adams - he should be able to find his way into Houston's rotation next year.
The Pistons may see that same value in Stewart. We'd do this deal in a heartbeat, but Detroit may not be interested. If they want to keep a valuable role player like Stewart around, that would be understandable.
