1 Trade the Houston Rockets could make with every other lottery team
#2: Rockets trade third pick and lottery-protected 2026 first-round pick for second pick with Wizards
We were tempted to skip the Wizards. This feels silly. In all likelihood, neither team would bother making this trade.
Unless the Rockets love Zaccharie Risacher. He's the presumptive second-overall pick. If the Rockets want to make sure they land him, they could part with a protected future selection.
We chose 2026 for a reason. Next year's draft is strong, and the Nets are weak. The Rockets shouldn't part with their 2025 first-round swap from Brooklyn unless a true superstar is on the table.
They could spare a protected 2026 first. It could come from either them or the Nets - it doesn't really matter. This doesn't feel like a feasible deal, but if the Rockets want to secure Risacher, they could entertain it.
