The Houston Rockets turned over a considerable amount of their roster this summer, parting with a handful of prospects and bringing Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks in to add some defensive reinforcements and to re-establish the culture. As the NBA offseason progresses through the dog days of inactivity, free agency and the NBA Draft become an afterthought and the focus shifts to the upcoming season.

The bulk of the players have already settled into their new landing places across the league.

Turnover and change usually means saying farewell and making new introductions, as several former players spread out and join other teams. A parting can oftentimes lead to a new chapter of an already opened book.
