11. Daishen Nix

After a wildly unsuccessful stint with the Houston Rockets, Daishen Nix was given his walking papers at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, as expected. Nix faced a conundrum, as his $1.8 million salary was non-guaranteed in 2023-24, meaning he would've had to have given the Rockets a reason to pick it up.

If the Rockets would've gotten anything remotely close to Nix's G-League showing in the G-League Finals (25.5 points, 9.5 assists, and 11.5 rebounds), the Rockets would have essentially been forced to keep him around longer.

Some players fare better in the G-League though and Nix seems to fit that mold, as he was essentially able to rack up triple-doubles whenever he wanted with the Rio Grande Vipers. Nix made it easy for his Vipers teammates, as he drew multiple defenders.

For whatever reason, it didn't translate to the NBA. At least not yet. Instead, Nix finished with more turnovers than field goals made.

Nix remains a free agent and figures to be one for the foreseeable future.
