3 Free agents the Houston Rockets could sign to replace Reggie Bullock
2. Taurean Prince
The Rockets want to maintain a defensive identity, but they need shooting. Finding true 3-and-D players is difficult - it's hard to scratch both of those itches at once.
Taurean Prince does the trick. He shot 39.6% from long-range last year. Prince is also a solid, tough defender. Will he really be available with the Rockets' Mid-Level Exception (MLE)?
That's the question. Prince may not be the most practical target for the Rockets. He's likely to sign a modest deal with a contender, but to join a team in Houston's position, he may require some extra financial incentive.
Moreover, he may not be content with Bullock's 9,5 minutes per game. If Prince is coming to Houston, he'll likely want to be a larger part of the rotation. The Rockets could justify acquiring him in their continued effort to improve, but if they want more bandwidth for their younger wings to grow, they may prefer a more modest target.
