3 players the Rockets must target with the final roster spot
2. Terrence Ross
Terrence Ross is one of the better wings on the free agent market. Ross, an 11-year vet, donned two jerseys in 2022-23, as he played for the Orlando Magic and Phoenix Suns.
Ross was a sparkplug off the Suns' second unit, averaging 9 points in just under 20 minutes per game, while making a tick under 35 percent of his threes. For the Rockets, who are now scrambling to find a scoring guard off the bench, Ross would be a wise addition.
The 32-year-old could be the first guard off the bench when Fred VanVleet and Jalen Green are off the court. Ross could even play the small forward spot and spell Dillon Brooks, due to his 6-foot-6 frame.
Ross has a quick trigger and can create instant offense on each level of the floor. Ross is a career 36.2 percent shooter and made 36.8 percent of his treys last season.
Ross didn't get much playing time for Phoenix during the postseason, but he can hardly be blamed for that, due to the rotational preferences of Monty Williams.
