3. Jalen Green breaks out

Jalen Green has mostly been bad. At times, he's been incredible. Consistency. Blah blah blah, etc.

This is the year. Green needs to break out in 2024-25. If he doesn't, he may not be a Rocket for much longer.

What does "break out" mean? Well, Green doesn't need to replicate his March production from 2023-24. That would be an unreasonable ask. We're asking for 20+ points per game on league-average efficiency. We're also asking Green to sustain the improvements he made in his defense and playmaking in 2023-24.

That doesn't feel like a tall ask. Green was the second overall pick in 2021. He is supposed to be a star player. This is the year for him to prove that the Rockets were wise to invest a precious asset in him.
