1. Donte DiVincenzo

This one hurts.

DiVincenzo averaged 15.5 points per game for the Knicks this year while shooting 40.1% from the three-point line. Was he handsomely rewarded for his efforts? On regular human standards, sure - but his $11.7 million was one of the best-value contracts in the NBA.

For the most part, we've been looking at wings in this article. At 6'4", some would consider DiVincenzo a guard. That's fair, but in this positionless league, he can comfortably line up at the 3.

In fact, he spent 21% of his minutes at that position in 2023-24. Let's not split hairs - DiVincenzo is an inch shorter than Brooks. He's a better player, and he earns roughly half of what Brooks does.

The Rockets should regret not pursuing him.
