1. Donovan Clingan
At 7-foot-2 and 280 pounds, Donovan Clingan presents exactly what Rockets fans have been clamoring for all season. Sure, Jock Landale has been on a heater of late, but the fact that it took him 60 games to show signs of life is proof that the Rockets could stand to benefit from an upgrade.
And the contract they gave him is proof that they didn't expect him to be around beyond this season.
Clingan is a beast on the boards, becoming the first player in Big East history since Patrick Ewing to post a 20 point- 15 rebound performance in a Big East championship game. And he's been one of the most impactful players in all of college hoops.
He's a fantastic rim-protecting big man, which the Rockets have been in need of all season. In fact, Clingan averaged 1.8 blocks as a reserve in his freshman year, and has upped that number to 2.3 blocks as a starter this season, while also averaging 12.5 points and 7.2 rebounds.
Clingan could potentially be had with the Brooklyn Nets' pick, depending on where it falls in the lottery.
