5 Best players the Houston Rockets could trade for on NBA Draft day
3. Malcolm Brogdon
Brogdon is a significantly better defender than Bogdanovic. Frankly, he's a better player across the board. Brogdon shot 41.2% on 5.1 attempts per game from deep in 2023-24.
He's also the superior floor spacer. Brogdon averaged 5.5 assists and just 1.5 turnovers per game in 2023-24 - he's a reliable playmaker. What's not to love?
Unfortunately, Brogdon's durability is a concern. In any given season, he's liable to suffer an injury. That could be enough to deter the Rockets from trading for him.
If not, it's not difficult to envision a deal here. The Blazers have the seventh and 14th picks in the upcoming draft. Something built around the third pick and matching salaries for Brogdon and number seven would feel fair on both ends.
