5 Draft pick trades Rockets could make to finally take a huge leap

1. Karl-Anthony Towns blockbuster
The Timberwolves are facing plenty of questions entering this offseason. They traded a massive haul for Rudy Gobert, but can they make the frontcourt partnership work between him and Towns? Anthony Edwards has quickly become the best player on the team, and the Wolves should be building around him. It will be easier to move KAT, and they could get a massive haul for him this summer.
Houston would certainly be willing to offer the number four overall pick plus multiple future first-rounders for the 27-year-old big man. Towns is a three-time All-Star and a big man with a unique skill set. The seven-footer can fly off screens and shoot 40 percent from 3-point range.
The Rockets may even be able to swing trading for KAT and signing James Harden in free agency to instantly remake their roster without giving up Jalen Green or Jabari Smith Jr. in the process. That is an outstanding top four, and the Rockets would still have plenty of young talent to round out their roster.
Will the Houston Rockets swing a blockbuster deal this summer to jump back into contention? Stay tuned because they are certainly a team to watch.
