5. Royce O'Neale

Royce O'Neale is the perfect role player. It's part of what's made him so highly pursued.

And make no mistake, every team would love to have O'Neale.

This year's trade deadline proved it. The Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, and Milwaukee Bucks all had him on their radar at the deadline.

The Suns landed him and have been grateful for the acquisition. The Texas native has averaged 8.7 points, 6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals (career-best), and 36.7 percent from deep (on a career-best 6.1 attempts).

O'Neale has proven capable of playing alongside superstars, as he played next to Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in Brooklyn and Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal with the Suns.

Granted, Phoenix will surely not want to lose him in the offseason, but they're strapped for cash, which makes this a possibility. The Suns are looking at a rather hefty luxury tax penalty ($70 million potentially) this summer and may lose him.

The Rockets could finally get their guy, in this case, as they don't have these restrictions. But again, they'll face immense competition for his services.
