7. Jordan Bell
The Houston Rockets traded for Jordan Bell at the 2020 trade deadline, drawing instant excitement from yours truly. I couldn't help but think about how Bell would be able to contribute to the small ball Rockets.
Sadly, I never got to see it, as the Rockets subsequently dealt him to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Drafted in 2017, Bell joined the Golden State Warriors in the middle of their dynasty, which limited his playing time. In spite of that, Bell contributed as a rookie, playing in 57 games (13 of which were starts), shooting 62.7 percent from the floor, and averaging 11.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per 36 minutes.
Bell ultimately won a championship with the Dubs as a rookie and played a role in the Warriors' 2018-19 NBA Finals run, albeit as a reserve. Bell signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves and played 27 games with the franchise before getting traded to Houston.
The Rockets swapped him for Bruno Caboclo, who was unable to secure a major role under Mike D'Antoni. Bell suited up for three different franchises in 2020-21 and recently signed with the Guangzhou Loong Lions this offseason.
