5. Jeremy Lamb
The Houston Rockets selected Jeremy Lamb with the 12th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and immediately shipped him to the Oklahoma City Thunder, roping him in the James Harden trade that landed the Rockets their bonafide superstar and franchise player.
However, Lamb never mirrored any semblance of a lottery talent in OKC and was dealt to the Charlotte Hornets just three years later. In Charlotte, the 6-foot-5 Connecticut alum benefitted from a change of scenery, as he became a breakout player for the Hornets.
Lamb spent four seasons in the Buzz City and became a starter in 2018-19, averaging a career-best 15.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. Lamb signed with the Indiana Pacers in 2019 and helped the Pacers get into the playoffs, despite losing Victor Oladipo- their best player.
Lamb averaged 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 45.1 percent from the floor, and 33.5 percent from three while becoming a starter. Lamb was later dealt to the Sacramento Kings, in the deal that sent Tyrese Haliburton to the Pacers.
All told, Lamb's NBA career spanned 10 seasons and saw him post averages of 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 43.9 percent from the floor, and 34.2 from three.
