2. Rockets interested in Malik Beasley
Remember that player who can shoot better than 29.9% from distance?
Hello, Malik Beasley. He connected on 41.3% of his three-point attempts in 2023-24. For a Rockets team with some of the worst spacing in the NBA last year, a player like Beasley would be a tremendous addition.
Will the interest be mutual? It's hard to say. The Rockets will have the non-taxpayers mid-level exception available this summer. That should be enough to meet Beasley's market value, but they won't be able to overpay him.
Would the veteran prefer to chase rings? It's possible. Still, he could be vital in elevating the Rockets back into the playoffs. Whether that appeals to Beasley or not, we're confident that it would appeal to the Rockets.
Verdict: Buy the Rockets' interest in Beasley
