Rockets should call Suns to solve shooting woes

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Suns have canvassed the league regarding Grayson Allen's value.

"Phoenix continues to be mentioned as one of the more active teams on the trade market, hoping to find rotational upgrades behind its Big Three of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. The Suns have explored what the combination of Grayson Allen and Nassir Little could bring back to The Valley, sources said, though the Suns have only four second-round picks at their disposal, and Allen has been arguably Phoenix’s most important player this season behind Durant and Booker."

Why the Suns do the deal

The Suns' roster is top-heavy, as a bulk of their players are backcourt players (Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, Eric Gordon, Grayson Allen), leaving a need for wings and/or frontcourt players. The Suns also rank 16th in defensive efficiency and are looking for formidable defenders.

Hell, they've been mentioned as a buyout possibility for PJ Tucker, who is easily a shell of himself. Jae'Sean Tate would give the Suns an elite defender who gives maximum effort on both ends of the floor.

And his playmaking ability would give them a boost. Not to mention his elite cutting ability.

Oh, and he's far and away a better player than Tucker right now. Easily.

Not to mention his contract- $7.1 million team option in 2024-25- which would give the Suns even more flexibility. Allen, on the other hand, is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
