Run for cover: Mikal Bridges

Mikal Bridges is a really good player, let's get that out of the way.

He's averaging 21 points per game, is a reliable 3-point shooter, and is an elite defender. Oh, and he's just 27-years-old and on a very reasonable deal that pays him $70 million through the next three years.

The problem isn't him as a player.

The issue is the Nets' asking price, as they've already rejected four first-round picks and have reportedly received offers of five first-round picks, although I'm highly skeptical of that.

Regardless, they're trying to drive the price up on Bridges and force the Rockets to empty their assets, while also throwing Jalen Green in the deal.

Which is reason to run for cover.
