Veteran FA targets for Houston Rockets: Caris LeVert

Coming off two polarizing seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, it would not be surprising if Caris LeVert elected to pursue other options this offseason. And one of those options could seemingly be the Houston Rockets. LeVert does have some history with James Harden briefly during the 2020-21 season in Brooklyn. LeVert was rehabbing from injury when Harden was acquired from Houston and was moved to Cleveland roughly a month later.

Nevertheless, perhaps LeVert and Harden finally get to play together in Houston now. LeVert could be an off-the-bench offensive microwave for the Rockets next season, offering up a veteran staple for the team in the locker room as well.

LeVert is coming off two shaky seasons in Cleveland, but is not too far removed from averaging 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists on 45 percent shooting from the field during the 2021-22 season with the Indiana Pacers.

The 28-year-old wing may not be consistently that anymore but he's a veteran that could offer on and off-the-court value for the young Rockets next season.
