While there are three guys that could become members of the Houston Rockets during the 2022 NBA Draft, only one stands out as the most likely option.

The 2022 NBA Draft is inching closer for the more-than-excited Houston Rockets. Having a lottery pick in a year like this is going to go a long way, and the ability to add a solid forward to this lineup that desperately needs size is extremely under-rated for this team.

The Rockets need any of the three forwards. All three guys look like a perfect fit for the Rockets alongside the rest of the young group that they have established over the past few years. Whether they land Jabari Smith, Chet Holmgren, or Paolo Banchero, this roster is going to get much better with a bit of size down low.

With that being said, many Rockets fans are starting to put a bit of wishful thinking out into the world as there are discussions regarding the team somehow getting Chet Holmgren or Jabari Smith.

We are just going to need to can those thoughts now.

As nice as it would be to land a fit like Smith or a high-ceiling guy like Holmgren, Banchero has been the most likely pick for Houston at three for weeks, and there are no signs that this is going to change before draft night.

There are no problems with this. Banchero is a great player and going to get a lot of attention in Houston as one of the main guys with the ball in his hands and one of the main scorers.

Rockets fans just need to know that the idea of a trade up or one of the other teams passing on either other player is just extremely unlikely as everything stands.
