Barrett still has time to pan out. Ball has already panned out. The only thing holding his career back is his health.
With a career BPM of 2.8, Ball has looked like a superstar since taking the league by storm in 2020. A 6'7" point guard, Ball's blend of positional size, shooting, and prodigious floor vision makes him one of the most talented guards in the NBA.
Hopefully, he can get his body right soon. It feels wrong to hold a player's health against them, but it has to be factored into any evaluation of their impact. You can't help your team win if you can't get on the floor.
