Bill Simmons might want to look away. Jalen Green of the Houston Rockets deservedly made it onto the All NBA Rookie First Team.
It looks like Rockets fans will finally get a satisfying conclusion to the story regarding Jalen Green and Bill Simmons.
Simmons, who was clearly not in the majority in the voting for the All NBA Rookie team, probably won't be too happy to see Jalen Green on the first team.
Who cares what Simmons had to say anyway?
This is a big moment for Green and is an acknowledgement of an extremely high order on an otherwise difficult season for the Rockets.
The final record might not look great, but no one would ever deny that Jalen Green is not on the right path towards becoming a superstar. There are still a few more steps that are needed, but Green is getting closer, and moments like this are where it starts.
This is one of the first big moments of Green's young NBA career and is a sign of much more to come down the road. The guys that make this team generally end up going on to achieve great things in the league, and there is no reason to believe that won't happen with Green.
This is almost assuredly the only award coming the Rockets' way after the season they just had, but this is really the only one that matters.
Green and his devlopment matter more than just about everything else in Houston. This was the recognition that mattered, and it is clear that the voters saw what Green was doing on the court towards the end of the season.
With his rookie season with the Rockets in the books, this is a great jumping off point for Jalen Green as this is likely only the first individual award of many to come in his career as a Houston Rocket.
There will be more to come. We can't wait to see it. Congrats to Jalen Green.
