The Houston Rockets' seven-game winning streak came to an end on Friday after falling to the Milwaukee Bucks 123-114. The Rockets' loss to the defending champions was as close to a moral victory as there is in the NBA. They led for large stretches of the game, and it required a 40 point performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

However, if you followed the advice of our Odds and Best Bets article for the game you would have walked away a winner. We called for the Rockets to beat the spread of nine points, which ended as a push, called for the over on the Rockets' scoring 108.5 points, and said take the over on Giannis 11.5 rebounds.

WynnBET has the Rockets has 7.5 point underdogs against the Memphis Grizzlies. These are the odds and best bets for the Houston Rockets against the Memphis Grizzlies.

1. Take Memphis to Cover the spread

It's never fun to bet against your team, but tonight should not be a fun night for the Rockets. The oddsmakers have the Grizzlies as 7.5 point favorites and they should have little trouble covering. The Rockets just played an exhausting game against the Bucks and then had to travel to Memphis and Eric Gordon is expected to be out. The Grizzlies dismantled the Lakers on Thursday and have been at home since December the 8th. The Grizzlies might be without Ja Morant, but they've actually played better without their star point guard. Look for the Rockets to look sluggish and lose by more than eight.

2. Garrison Mathews over 13.5 points

For the season Garrison Mathews is averaging 13.4 points, but those averages include his first four games when he played under 20 minutes each game. Since seeing his role expand he's averaging 17 points a game on 46.4-percent shooting from three. This isn't easy money, but this is too good a bet to pass up.

3. Jae'Sean Tate over 4.5 assists

Jae'Sean Tate is not known for his passing, but perhaps he should be. Over his past seven games, he's averaging 6.7 assists. While some would suggest this is just a hot streak, the Rockets' offense has changed dramatically over the past eight games and part of that has been getting more playmaking from Tate. With Eric Gordon, Kevin Porter Jr, and Jalen Green all out, look for Tate to lead the offense and get well over five assists.

The Rockets might not be favorites but if you make the right bets every game can be worth watching. The game tips off at 7:00 Central time, so make sure you get your bets in before tip-off.
