3. Donovan Clingan, UConn
Spoiler alert: there's a hot take in this article.
Clingan is typically ranked significantly higher than the next guy on this list. We're just not sure how he fits with Houston's program. Clingan is a non-shooter, and while he's better at defending the perimeter than Edey, he's not as switchable as Missi.

In other words, it doesn't feel likely that he'll ever be able to play next to Sengun. Yet, Clingan projects as a long-term starter in the NBA. Drafting him to back Sengun up feels counterproductive.
That doesn't mean that it couldn't be justified. If the Rockets think Clingan is going to be a great NBA player, they could take him and let the details sort themselves out. Still, the next player on this list is a cleaner fit with their current roster.
