On Thursday, the Houston Rockets addressed their need for a defensive-minded reserve center, as they parted with Victor Oladipo and three second-round draft picks for Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams. The 30-year-old big man is a tough defender and possesses the physicality to hold his own against physical post players.

For as great as Alperen Sengun has been this season on the offensive end, he'll doesn't have this skillset. Down the road, he may add strength and be able to defend opposing bigs.

And he's been better on that end this year, so that's a positive.

The Rockets aren't done wheeling and dealing, as they're still armed with a good amount of draft capital, including the Brooklyn Nets' first-round pick in this year's draft. With that being said, let's take a look at the Rockets' remaining draft capital.

Houston Rockets' 2024 draft picks

  • 2024 first-round draft pick (via Brooklyn)
  • 2024 second-round pick (via Brooklyn)

Houston Rockets' 2025 draft picks

  • 2025 first-round draft pick (via Brooklyn; Oklahoma City has right to swap; Rockets can swap Oklahoma City pick for Brooklyn's pick)

Houston Rockets' 2026 draft picks

  • 2026 second-round draft pick from Oklahoma City, Dallas, or Philadelphia (Rockets receive second-most favorable pick)
  • 2026 second-round draft pick from LA Clippers, Boston, Indiana, or Miami (Rockets to receive less favorable of Clippers and Memphis 2026 second-round pick)

Houston Rockets' 2027 draft picks

  • 2027 first-round draft pick (via Brooklyn: Rockets own right to swap)
  • 2027 second-round draft pick (via Memphis)

Houston Rockets' 2028 draft picks

  • Own 2028 first-round draft pick
  • 2028 second-round draft pick

Houston Rockets' 2029 draft picks

  • Own 2029 first-round draft pick

Houston Rockets' 2030 draft picks

  • Own 2023 first-round draft pick

The Rockets previously held two additional second-round picks in the 2024 draft, via Golden State and Oklahoma City, but dealt them in Thursday's deal with Memphis, in addition to Oklahoma City's 2025 second-round pick.

We'll keep you posted on the Rockets' remaining draft picks as they make more trades prior to Thursday's deadline.
