The Houston Rockets are on a five-game winning streak heading into Tuesday’s matchup with the Washington Wizards, who have the worst record in the NBA this season.

Washington has dropped four in a row, and the team is a dreadful 4-27 at home, where it will play Houston on Tuesday night.

The Rockets, even without big man Alperen Sengun, continue to win games and stay alive for the No. 10 spot in the Western Conference.

Can Houston cover the spread as a road favorite in this game?

Rockets vs. Wizards key players to watch

Houston Rockets

Jalen Green: With Sengun out, Green has stepped up in a big way, scoring 37 points in a win over these Wizards before dropping 26 in an upset win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The former No. 2 overall pick has struggled with his efficiency (41.7 percent from the field, 32.1 percent from 3), but he’s still a solid scorer when he’s hot.

Washington Wizards

Kyle Kuzma: After sitting out the Wizards’ loss to Boston on Sunday, Kuzma will look to get back to his usual self after a down game in a loss to the Chicago Bulls. The Wizards forward has been one of the few bright spots for the team this season, averaging 22.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

Rockets vs. Wizards prediction and pick

The Rockets have not been good on the road this season overall, going just 9-24 straight up, but I think there is a key trend that makes them a solid bet in this one.

Houston has been favored on the road just six times all season, going 3-3 against the spread in those matchups. Meanwhile, the Wizards are a dreadful 8-18 against the spread as home dogs after getting blown out by Boston on Sunday.

These teams played last week with Houston winning comfortably at home by 16 points. I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Rockets pick up another win, as Washington’s defense (dead last in the NBA in defensive rating) is extremely exploitable.

Given Washington’s overall struggles at home (worse record than on the road), I’ll lay the points with Houston here.

Pick: Rockets -9 (-110)
