Right now, the third seed is currently being combated for by:

  • Denver Nuggets
  • Memphis Grizzlies
  • The Los Angeles Clippers

The Houston Rockets are currently only two games behind the Golden State Warriors. The Rockets also own the tie-breaker which means the 6th seed is a clear possibility.

The Golden State Warriors can lose to several teams in the final week of the regular season. Three big time match-ups that they are scheduled to play:

  • Oklahoma City Thunder
  • San Antonio Spurs
  • Los Angeles Lakers

They can even lose to the Portland Trail Blazers, who may still show that they can be playoff contenders next year.

We here at Space City Scoop are going to give you the comparisons. This article will be about the Los Angeles Clippers

Chris Paul

Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverly are standard NBA point guard with tons of potential. Chris Paul is reaching his max potential. He has a top assist-to-turnover ratio. He is the NBA All-Star MVP this year. He has always been the key play maker when it came to scoring or assists for the Clippers.  He is sort of key for their victory, just like Kobe Bryant last year against the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder last year.

As noted in his last game against the two, he is the top ball thief in the NBA. He gave both Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverly a lot of problems with trying to inbound the ball to their centers and power forwards for their lobs.

The Lob

The Rockets will need their power forward to guard against Blake Griffin and possibly even DeAndre Jordan. Maybe Omer Asik can prevent their lobbers from going up in the air with a block. However, the Rockets have been very vulnerable to it. They will have to note how to defend it or else be embarrassed on national television.

However, if the Houston Rockets can protect against Paul and the lob, LA may have a lot of problems on their hands if Houston:

Outshoot them

The Houston Rockets are currently the leaders for threes in the NBA; the Clippers are ninth. So let it rain from downtown! Bombard the basket with 3s from everywhere! What if Blake Griffin shoots one 3? So what? Break the 3 point record again during the playoffs! It’ll be a lot of fun to watch!

Play in Transition

I don’t know why the Rockets stopped playing transition offense consistently this year. What do I know? I’m out of shape.

Houston is currently second in fast break and leading in the last 3 games. Play to your strengths and you may defeat your enemies.

Ask Billy Crystal How Awful His Next Movie Appearance Will Be

Seriously. Yikes with that last film. I guess he could not get anything after that lackluster Academy Award hosting job.
