Is Beverley hurting Rockets?

In response to Joshua Van Horn’s article: The Effort of Houston Rockets Patrick Beverley two posts caught our attention:

More from Space City Scoop

Ultimate187 opines:

Injury prone, overrated defense, and can’t make plays. That’s Patrick Beverley. He’s just as bad (or worse) than everyone else on the team. Misdirected intensity can’t compensate for his weaknesses. There is no other team in the league where he would be a starting PG. He simply isn’t that good.

As we speak, the Rockets are currently losing 54 -84 to the Warriors in game 5 of the playoffs. Bev has played 25 minutes and has 2 points and 4 fouls. Time to take the blinders off.

And Knibb says:

Couldn’t agree with you more. Beverley is simply not an NBA caliber PG/SG/any-other-position-you-can-think-of.
