The All-Time teams for the popular basketball video game franchise were revealed today. Who are all on the Rockets?

NBA 2K18 is including “All-Time” teams consisting of the best players in the history of each franchise. Today, the players for each team were revealed, along with the ratings pertaining to the greats. We’ll go over the starting 5 and then briefly look at the rest of the squad.

Starting Point Guard: James Harden – 94 Overall

Of course, the Beard is a starter on this team. His rating is the second best on the team at a solid 94 overall. Will that be his normal rating for NBA 2K18? If so, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant and LeBron James will be the only players ranking above Harden. Westbrook’s rating has not been revealed yet, however.

Starting Shooting Guard: Tracy McGrady – 91 Overall

T-Mac will start next to Harden in the backcourt. He was an amazing athlete in Rockets history and my personal favorite player growing up. The 91 rating might be a little low for how good McGrady was. However, injuries really affected his career for the player that even Kobe said he hated matching up against the most. If he would have stayed healthy, what would his rating have been?

Starting Small Forward: Clyde Drexler – 91 Overall

Clyde the Glide was a huge part in the second championship run for the Houston Rockets. While the rating may seem a little low, you gotta remember that the Rockets did acquire him pretty late into his career. His rating on the Trail Blazers, on the other hand, is a 96. Clyde still is a huge part of Rockets history, though.

Starting Power Forward: Hakeem Olajuwon – 98 Overall

Hakeem Olajuwon is the best player in the history of the Houston Rockets. He brought the team two championships in the mid-90s and was one of the greatest players of all time. NBA 2K18 certainly is giving him the respect he deserves. At 98 overall, he is one of the highest rated players in the game. Only Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are rated higher.

Starting Center: Yao Ming – 92 Overall

Olajuwon had to move to the power forward position to accommodate the great Yao Ming. The recent Hall of Famer helped the Rockets on and off the court. Besides being an absolute beast in the paint, Yao helped the Rockets, and the NBA, reach China like it never has before. His 92 rating is a good telling of his basketball skills, but his impact on the NBA would be rated 99.

The Bench

While the Rockets certainly have an electric starting 5, the bench is very impressive too. Let’s take a look at them:

Calvin Murphy – 90 Overall

Ralph Sampson – 89 Overall

Steve Francis – 88 Overall

Elvin Hayes – 88 Overall

Kenny Smith – 86 Overall

Otis Thorpe – 85 Overall

Cuttino Mobley – 83 Overall

Vernon Maxwell – 83 Overall

Patrick Beverley (!!!) – 81 Overall

Robert Horry – 81 Overall

The bench is looking pretty good for the All-Time Rockets! A few notable players missing, though, are Rudy Tomjonovich and Moses Malone. Are there any other former Rockets that you would have liked to see?
