Takeaway No. 2 – Road Ryan Anderson is still a thing

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how Ryan Anderson is still shooting far better on the road than at home. Last year, it was a drastic difference and this year is no different. Last night, Anderson was second on the team in scoring with 24 points. Of course, it was on the road in Phoenix.

This phenomenon is no coincidence anymore. There is something wrong with Toyota Center for Ryan Anderson and I have no clue what it could be. Why would he not be comfortable shooting there?

Ryan Anderson’s five highest scoring games of the year (24, 22, 21, 21, 14) have all come on the road. That is unbelievable. He is shooting 29% from 3 at home as opposed to a scorching 46.5% on the road. We should be used to that by now, but it is still unbelievable that the numbers differ so much.

He had some nice connections with Chris Paul last night as well, including this nice play from out of bounds:

That pass from CP3, though. Incredible. Another impressive part was the shot. Ryan Anderson does not make that shot most likely if he is in Houston.
