3. Jock Landale

Landale has improved dramatically down the stretch of this season. It feels likely that an ankle injury impacted his performance for most of the year. The Rockets should say goodbye to the Australian big man anyway.

Alperen Sengun is a stud. He has the potential to be a bonafide offensive engine in this league. Still, he's not without his flaws. With below-average lateral mobility, Sengun can be exploited on the defensive end of the floor.

Would you look at that? We could say the same for Landale. The Rockets need to diversify their big-man rotation. An ideal backup for Sengun would be a player with more defensive utility than Landale.

It seems that the front office is already moving in that direction. Granted, Steven Adams isn't precisely a switch big. Still, with his remarkable strength and solid wing span, he's at least a better rim protector than either Sengun or Landale. Out of that trio of bigs, Landale is comfortably the odd man out.
