Castle shot 26.7% from three-point range last season. Let's be clear - shooting is the Rockets' biggest need by a longshot. Adding another non-shooting perimeter player would border on malpractice.
Yet, rest assured that Ime Udoka will be tempted by Castle. He's a dogged defender. Castle can lock his man down at the point of attack, and he's an active defensive playmaker in passing lanes as well.
We like Castle as a prospect. He's played some point guard in his career, and he could function as a do-it-all guard/wing hybrid at the NBA level. Unfortunately, Castle can "do it all" besides shoot, which is what the Rockets would need him to do the most.
