Kevin Porter Jr.'s days in a Houston Rockets uniform aren't numbered- they're over. Rockets GM Rafael Stone said as much during the Rockets' Media Day on Monday.

Porter's days in an NBA uniform for any team are also likely over, based on NBA commissioner Adam Silver's comments on the matter, as Silver described Porter's alleged actions as horrific. Porter, of course, was arrested last month in Manhattan for an alleged vicious and brutal attack on his girlfriend.

It makes me feel uneasy to pivot from the details of his alleged assault to anything basketball-related so I understand if you decide not to read any further. I wouldn't blame you.

In Porter, the Rockets were going to have a combo guard who was the team's best shooter last season. Rockets coach Ime Udoka revealed that Porter and Jalen Green were going to compete for the starting shooting guard spot during Media Day before Porter's troubling and disturbing arrest.

The Rockets replaced his shooting by adding Reggie Bullock, a career 38.4 percent shooter who made 38 percent of his long-range attempts last season with the Dallas Mavericks. The Rockets are also seeking to trade Porter and are willing to attach draft capital to incentivize any team to acquire his non-guaranteed contract.

There's one deal with another Western Conference team that would make alot of sense.
