Former Houston Rockets player Tracy McGrady is celebrating his birthday today , offering a perfect opportunity to look back at some of his finer moments in Clutch City.

Looking back over the Houston Rockets legacy few players have been recognized as super stars. One such player who falls in that arena is Tracy McGrady who spent three seasons of his prime in as a Rocket. Today he turns 37 and while 40 year old Tim Duncan is still technically in the league McGrady has retired.

So too is his cousin 39 year old Vince Carter who began his career in Toronto with McGrady. And, while McGrady is no longer in the league fans were treated to him playing at this year’s All-Star Game in Toronto where he helped Drake’s team post a victory.

T-Mac was part of the 2007-08 Rockets team who registered 22 consecutive wins. That incredible from January 29 to March 16 occurred without the services of  Yao Ming for a significant portion of the run.

Though many have cited the fact McGrady was not comfortable leading off the court, he certainly did everything he could on the hardwood often putting the team on his back.

One such key performance sits in the annuls as possibly T-Mac’s most exciting performance ever when he scored 13 points in 35 seconds versus the San Antonio Spurs in 2004. Check out how young Timmy Fundamental looks:

Though there are many highlight games McGrady put up over this career this video offers a top 10 from youtube:
